Ash Wednesday at the White House

A group of Catholics walked from Saint Matthew's Cathedral, District of Columbia, to the Executive Mansion, to bear public penance, with ashes, in reparation for the sins of the current american government; in particular, the intrinsically evil actions of the infliction of war and torture upon people. We, as a christian people, are required to witness justice before God. Some individuals, saw this as incumbent upon theirselves.

Apparently, they were not arrested in exercising their constitutional rights, nor were they particularly noticed by most of the press. The current regime has not been warm to common citizens in opposition to their actions, nor has the press acknowledged the existence of such opposition. But, sometimes, people are internally compelled to public expression.
